Slavni pjevač pronađen mrtav

Ric Ocasek pjevač grupe “The Cars” pronađen je mrtav u svom stanu. Muzičar je umro u 76. godini života, a kada je hitna pomoć stigla u njegov dom mogli su samo utvrditi da je mrtav, piše CCN.

We are stunned and saddened to learn of the passing of #RicOcasek, whose lead vocals with The Cars, and subsequent record production, left an indelible mark on modern music. The Cars had a string of albums at the turn of the ’70s to the ’80s that seemed to mix the emerging New Wave and post-punk movements with commercial rock ‘n’ roll better than anyone. It was no wonder leader Ric Ocasek went on to a later career as producer of bands like Weezer — Ocasek’s tightly constructed songs and the band’s sparked sound laid the groundwork for what we’d come to call “alternative music” in the ’90s. Od Ocaseka se na društvenim mrežama opraštaju mnogi muzičari i druge poznate osobe.

Grupa “The Cars” bila je popularna u 70-im i 80-im godinama prošlog stoljeća zahvaljujući hitovima “My Best Friend’s Girl” i “Drive”.  Na snimanju spota za pjesmu “Drive” 1984. pjevač je upoznao super Paulinu Porizkovu, s kojom je bio u braku do prošle godine. Imao je dvoje djece.
