Brazilski predsjednik tvrdi da je Leonardo DiCaprio povezan s požarima u amazonskoj prašumi

Američki glumac Leonardo DiCaprio demantirao je  tvrdnju brazilskog predsjednika Jaira Bolsonara da je pomagao u finansiranju udruženja, povezanih s požarima u amazonskoj prašumi.

– Kako zavređuju podršku, nismo finansirale te organizacije – reagirao je DiCaprio.

Poznati glumac i dugogodišnji aktivist za zaštitu okoliša, rekao je da je budućnost tog nezamjenjivog eosistema na kocki te da je ponosan sam što stoji uz skupine koje ga štite.

Naime, u svom sedmičnom obraćanju, predsjednik je slavnog glumca optužio za saradnju povezanu s požarima u Amazoniji, doniranjem 500.000 dolara dobrovoljnom vatrogasnom udruženju, koje je, kako je rekao, podmetalo požare u ekološki osjetljivoj  šumi kako bi privukla donacije.
