Princ Harry i Meghan Markle, kako to prenosi BBC, objavili su u srijedu da će se odreći uloge viših članova britanske kraljevske porodice, raditi na tome da budu financijski nezavisni i dio godine živjeti u Sjevernoj Americi.

– Namjeravamo se odreći uloge viših članova kraljevske porodice kako bi radili i postali financijski nezavisni, i dalje dajući punu podršku kraljici – saopštili su.

Harry i Megan su posljednjih mjeseci govorili o tome da im teško pada medijski pritisak povezan s njihovom funkcijom. Kažu da su odluku donijeli nakon višemjesečnih razgovora.

– Planiramo rasporediti vrijeme između Velike Britanije i Sjedinjenih Država uz poštivanje naših dužnosti prema kraljici i zajednici.
